Who Had The Idea For Cycle Tech UK?

Martin Wilkins the founder of Cycle Tech UK started in the bicycle trade aged 15 in 1984. Working in the local bicycle shop. As a keen cyclist and trained mechanic, returned to the bike trade and started Cycle Tech in November 2007. And expanded in to a cooperate Company Cycle Tech UK Ltd.
And now is Cytech level 2 bicycle mechanic, qualified Campagnolo mechanic, BOSCH e-bike, & City & Guilds in Disc brakes and suspension.
Martin started fixing bicycles back in the 80's, when he was riding bmx's. First fixing friends bikes and then getting a job working at the local bike shop, in High Wycombe, first part time Saturdays and holidays, then when he left school at 15 he started work full time. Spending all his money on building his own bikes and his time riding. He even helped build a BMX track in Lay Hill (Chesham Rad Riders) You can now find him cycling Tuesday evenings and the odd Sunday morning, as the casual Cyclist.

With Martin mechanical & business experience in the bike trade he now helps Cycle Tech UK Members, start their own professorial mobile bike business. Giving all the information, help with business and technical support needed to start and run a mobile bike business.

Cycle Tech UK's networking is like a cooperative, communicating directly with the people who have already embarked on this career, learning from their experiences and working together makes us much stronger in any changing market. We also meet up regular at trade shows to see the latest products and the chance to meet other mobile bike mechanics and talk shop.
